SBH9: Palma Rosa

Sunflower Beach and the staff at Life in Paradise give our family a wonderful vacation. The Palma Rosa house was perfect for our family (myself, wife and 11 year old) plus our dog. The unit was super clean, almost brand new and had very nice appliances and a fully stocked kitchen. Our only issue was that the downstairs TV was in some sort of store demo mode and kept displaying banner ads for the TV brand, and the remote control to turn this off was not available. I was finally able to fix this by using a mouse and a dongle that I brought with me. Not sure how many previous guests just dealt with it, but it is now fixed. Sunflower Beach has a great resort pool and Turtles (open Wed-Sun) had good food and drinks. The proximity to the beach (and the ability to drive right onto the beach) made going there easy, and we were even within walking distance of the only golf course on Mustang Island (Palmilla). While just a short 9 holes (par 32), it was a very pretty, and challenging course. We would definitely stay at Sunflower beach again.

The house was everything we needed! The kids loved their bunk room and the beds were all very comfy. I really liked the decor and how it was all set up. It’s really a wonderful house for a family!

Wonderful unit for our family of 4 and our small dog. It was clean and had all of the comforts of home. It was great to have a fenced backyard. Beds were super comfortable. There is a thermostat for the lower level living room / kitchen area and a separate thermostat for the bedrooms upstairs. It was great to have the half bath downstairs and a full size washer and dryer upstairs. There is a community outdoor shower area right near the house but it was not working during our stay. It’s an easy walk to the beach via the boardwalk. This is our second stay in the community and we just love it! Definitely will be back!
